Teaching is like playing an eight-hour game of wac-a-mole. Lesson planning, teaching, redirecting students, grading, communicating with parents, co-worker collaboration, meetings, paperwork, and repeat. So much time is spent completing tasks that the big picture can be lost. I must remind myself why do I teach? What is important to me? What do I believe? How can I help fix the problems in the education system?
